Job summary

Rivan is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to lead process engineering for its reactor, electrolyser and Direct Air Capture systems in South London. This permanent role focuses on owning the design, safety and deployment of first-of-a-kind synthetic fuel technologies as the company scales from MW to 50MW+ systems.

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of process engineering experience, with strong hands-on ownership, P&ID, process simulation, and safety discipline to drive concept

Qualifications

• 10+ years of process engineering experience
• Experience in process plant design and commissioning
• Strong process safety experience including HAZOP and FMEA
• Experience with P&ID design, process simulation, mass and energy balances
• Experience designing large-scale or multi-megawatt plants
• Experience with reactors, electrolysers, DAC or related tech

Responsibilities

• Own process engineering across reactor, electrolyser and DAC systems
• Lead process safety and system design from architecture to deployment
• Take ownership of first-of-a-kind technologies and scaling
• Support rapid scaling from MW to 50MW+ systems
