Job summary

Rivan Industries, a UK-based synthetic fuel company, is seeking a Technical Programme Manager to lead development and scale-up of core technology from Bermondsey, London. You will own major programmes, manage schedules, risks and resources, and drive cross-functional teams through complex engineering challenges.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical/process/systems engineering, strong judgment, and a track record in R&D or scale-up projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in mechanical, process, systems or related engineering.
• Experience delivering complex R&D, scale-up or first-of-a-kind engineering programmes.
• Strong technical judgement and first-principles problem solving.
• Experience managing technical risk, schedules, resources and dependencies.
• Comfortable working across system-level engineering, requirements, testing and qualification.
• Able to work effectively under intense timelines and technical uncertainty.
• Takes problems end-to-end rather than simply reporting them.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team of technical specialists.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of major technical programmes, subsystems or modules.
• Manage projects, phases, workstreams, tasks, schedules and dependencies.
• Identify critical paths, risks and resource constraints; drive work to completion.
• Resolve problems by defining knowns, gaps and actions.
• Lead engineers across multidisciplinary teams with clear ownership.
• Contribute to system engineering, requirements, derisking, and scale-up.
• Shape R&D strategy to reduce top company risks.
