Job summary

Altera Recruitment Group in the Bristol area is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team through concept, FEED, detailed design and commissioning of a carbon-negative energy plant.

You will own the Basis of Design, develop FEED packages for commercial deployment, review mass and energy balances, PFDs and P&IDs, and support supplier engagement, commissioning and safety activities while driving engineering excellence across the project.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
• Extensive FEED experience in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with process safety reviews and engineering deliverables.
• Proficient in Aspen Plus/HYSYS and relevant standards (PED/ASME/DSEAR/PSSR).
• Experience with HAZOPs and safety activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary team through concept, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.
• Own Basis of Design and FEED package development for commercial deployment.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances and equipment specs.
• Support supplier engagement, procurement, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Drive engineering standards improvement and technology development.
