Job summary

Spectrum Community Health CIC, in collaboration with HMP Liverpool, seeks a specialist pharmacist to lead on-site medication services within a Category B prison. You will oversee controlled drugs, run pharmacy-led clinics, and support MDT decisions, combining leadership with direct patient care in a secure environment.

Qualifications

Non-medical prescribing qualification required.
GPhC registration as a pharmacist required.
Experience leading pharmacy services in complex settings.

Responsibilities

Lead organisation, planning and co-ordination of all pharmacy services on site.
Manage controlled drugs processes and compliance with senior pharmacist under Misuse of Drugs Act.
Oversee the dependence forming medication pathway and MDT reviews.
Provide one-to-one patient care and run pharmacy-led clinics.
Contribute to MDTs on medication issues and guide colleagues on safer medication management.
