Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Principal Highways and Drainage Engineer to lead the delivery of complex construction engineering services across the UK, including highways and drainage temporary works design and checking, and reviews of permanent designs for buildability and compliance.

You will act as Project Lead on multiple projects, manage technical scope, programmes and budgets, and mentor colleagues while collaborating with preconstruction and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading highways and drainage projects.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of design standards, safety and CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of highways and drainage temporary works design and checking.
• Review permanent designs for buildability and compliance.
• Coordinate with preconstruction and construction teams to support tenders and delivery.
