Job summary

Ageas UK is seeking a Lead Pricing Analyst to support the Group TX UW & Pricing roadmap. You will plan and deliver pricing projects, perform sophisticated data analyses and share pricing capabilities across Ageas entities, while influencing the risk pricing direction within the group.

You will travel internationally to collaborate with colleagues in Belgium, Portugal and Turkey and contribute to model development, rate deployment and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-4 years experience in insurance pricing.
• Proficient in SAS and other programming languages (R, Python, Matlab or Octave).
• Experience of Emblem and Radar.
• Ability to convey advanced statistical concepts to a non statistical audience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, review and share predictive and machine learning models across Ageas group operating companies – in line with the Group TX UW & Pricing Roadmap.
• Develop and deliver datasets for modelling, pricing and monitoring of pilots and proofs of concepts.
• Develop and maintain pricing models and support for their deployment.
• Carry out pricing analyses and prepare recommendations for senior stakeholders / local pricing teams.
• Work with local pricing teams to deploy rate releases and review rates in the live environment.
• Develop a balanced view of current and future pricing performance by combining MI, modelling results and company targets.
• Deputise for the Senior Pricing Manager when required, including meetings with senior management.

Job Title: Lead Pricing Analyst

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available

Salary Range: £48,000 - £72,000

Location: Hybrid, and opportunity for overseas travel

Lead Pricing Analyst: The Lead Pricing Analyst will support the delivery of the Group TX UW & Pricing roadmap and will plan and deliver pricing related projects to deadline and quality standards.

The role will involve the management of detailed analysis of data using sophisticated actuarial and statistical techniques in order to recommend pricing actions and best practice which will increase volume and profit in local operating entities.

In addition, the Lead Pricing Analyst will build and share pricing capability and core skills within the Ageas Group Operating companies, as well as influence the strategic direction of risk pricing team and within the wider Ageas Group.

As part of this role, you'll have the opportunity to travel internationally, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across Belgium, Portugal and Turkey.

Main Responsibilities as Lead Pricing Analyst

Skills and experience you need as Lead Pricing Analyst

• Minimum of 3-4 years experience in insurance pricing.
• Highly skilled in the use of programming language (e.g. SAS) to manipulate data.
• Experienced in the use of a programming language (e.g. R, Matlab, Python or Octave).
• Experience of Emblem and Radar.
• Experience of using analytics to solve complex business problems.
• Experience of dealing with and influencing colleagues at all levels up to, and including, senior management and directors.
• Ability to convey advanced statistical concepts to a non statistical audience.
• Self motivated, with the drive, energy and ability to work on own initiative.
