Ageas is seeking a Lead Pricing Analyst to support the pricing roadmap across the group, analysing data with advanced techniques and guiding pricing actions to drive volume and profit. The role includes international travel and collaboration with Belgium, Portugal and Turkey.

You will develop and validate models, prepare datasets, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders while influencing pricing strategy across local entities.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of pricing experience in insurance.
• Highly proficient with SAS for data manipulation.
• Experience with R, Python, Matlab or Octave.
• Experience of Emblem and Radar.
• Ability to convey statistical concepts to non‑statistical audiences.

Responsabilités

Lead Pricing Analyst: The Lead Pricing Analyst will support the delivery of the Group TX UW & Pricing roadmap and will plan and deliver pricing related projects to deadline and quality standards. The role will involve the management of detailed analysis of data using sophisticated actuarial and statistical techniques in order to recommend pricing actions and best practice which will increase volume and profit in local operating entities. In addition, the Lead Pricing Analyst will build and share pricing capability and core skills within the Ageas Group Operating companies, as well as influence the strategic direction of risk pricing team and within the wider Ageas Group. As part of this role, you'll have the opportunity to travel internationally, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across Belgium, Portugal and Turkey.

Main Responsibilities as Lead Pricing Analyst:

• Develop, validate, review and share predictive and machine learning models across Ageas group operating companies – in line with the Group TX UW & Pricing Roadmap.
• Development and delivery of up to date and accurate datasets for modelling, pricing and monitoring of pilots and proof of concepts.
• Development and maintenance of pricing models and support for their deployment.
• Carry out pricing analyses and prepare recommendations for senior stakeholders / local pricing teams.
• Working with local pricing teams carry out deployment/send instructions for rate releases and review of rates into rate engine/live environment.
• Develop a balanced view of current and future pricing performance by combining MI, modelling results and company targets.
• Deputise for the Senior Pricing Manager where required, including meetings with senior management.

Skills and experience you need as Lead Pricing Analyst:

• Minimum of 3-4 years experience in insurance pricing.
• Highly skilled in the use of programming language (e.g. SAS) to manipulate data.
• Experienced in the use of a programming language (e.g. R, Matlab, Python or Octave).
• Experience of Emblem and Radar.
• Experience of using analytics to solve complex business problems.
• Experience of dealing with and influencing colleagues at all levels up to, and including, senior management and directors.
• Ability to convey advanced statistical concepts to a non statistical audience.
• Self motivated, with the drive, energy and ability to work on own initiative.
