Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. seeks a Pricing Actuary for the UK Insurance Pricing team in London. You will be the lead pricing contact for designated lines, delivering analytics, pricing models and governance in collaboration with underwriters.

You will develop models for new business and lead budgeting activities, applying strong Excel/SQL/R/Python skills to drive data-informed decisions and support growth in the London Market.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Qualified or progressing toward IFoA or similar actuarial qualification.
• At least 5 years in commercial insurance pricing with strong analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Be the lead pricing contact for assigned lines, managing relationships with underwriting.
• Lead individual account pricing and provide actuarial analysis on complex cases.
• Support data collection, analysis and validation for modelling.
• Develop pricing models for new business areas and update models via reparameterisation.
• Apply pricing techniques to analyses and present insights to management and underwriters.
• Lead business planning with underwriters and articulate rationale.
