Salary: Lead Practitioner scale points 6-10 ( 57,979 - 63,888)

Are you an outstanding English teacher ready to lead by example and drive teaching excellence across a school?

A thriving secondary school in Watford is seeking to appoint a Lead Practitioner of English to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping pedagogy and raising standards across the department and wider school community.

As Lead Practitioner, you will:

  • Model outstanding classroom practice and inspire others.
  • Support, coach, and mentor staff to develop their teaching and impact.
  • Lead CPD and drive continuous improvement in English teaching.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, curriculum design and assessment.
  • Play a pivotal role in supporting early career teachers and those new to the profession.
