Job summary

CloudHQ in the United Kingdom seeks a Lead Power Systems Engineer to design and deliver utility infrastructure for hyperscale data centres across EMEA. You will oversee HV/MV systems, interconnections, and coordination with utilities, engineers, and operators in a fast-paced, global environment.

The role requires a Master or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in utility connections or similar projects, with English fluency and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in design and delivery of utility connections or similar complex projects across EMEA.
  • Data centre experience preferred.
  • Fluency in English; German/French/Italian/Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with utilities and grid operators to secure power capacity.
  • Lead design of power connections for new projects.
  • Oversee HV/MV power infrastructure design and delivery.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and KPIs for multiple projects.
  • Represent CloudHQ with external consultants and authorities.
  • Develop regional infrastructure standards and commissioning protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
