Job summary

Numatic International Limited, Ilminster, UK, seeks a Lead Electronics Engineer to drive design and development of power and embedded electronics for the current and future product range.

You will manage development activities, guide a small team, and collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver robust, cost-conscious solutions while ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in power and embedded electronics for volume manufacture.
• Commercial experience including negotiation, supply chain, or customer relations.
• Previous small team management and leadership experience.
• Knowledge of global safety standards and standard production techniques.
• Proficient use of SolidWorks and Altium for design work.
• Ability to lead across design activities and communicate effectively.
• Experience in coaching and LEAN/Six Sigma methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead development activities and manage team resources to meet project deadlines.
• Drive best-practice design guidelines, rules, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and elevate senior team capability.
• Collaborate with internal and external engineers and suppliers for optimized solutions.
• Support cost control and attention to design detail for new and existing products.
• Represent the team in meetings with stakeholders and promote technology interests.
