Dudley Academies Trust is seeking a Lead Playworker to provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the centre when the Centre Manager is absent or unavailable. You will take responsibility for the centre’s operations during designated shifts and support staff to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.

Sycamore Adventure offers a range of play opportunities indoors and outdoors, with flexible, casual hours to suit the role.

Job description

Dudley Academies Trust are seeking a Lead Playworker to provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the centre when the Centre Manager is absent or unavailable. This will include taking responsibility for the overall running of the centre during designated shifts, leading and supporting staff, managing the opening and closing of the centre, acting as a key holder and ensuring appropriate cash management procedures are followed.

This is a varied, customer-facing role requiring enthusiasm, flexibility, initiative and a commitment to providing outstanding experiences for children and families.
This is a casual role, with variable hours of work.

Sycamore Adventure is a purpose built indoor and outdoor adventure playground for children and families in the Dudley borough and surrounding areas. It is a safe space where children can have fun. Every child has the right to play, and our playworkers support children to explore the play opportunities on offer.We aim to offer a wide menu of play options and a staff team who are trained and knowledgeable in play-work and promote the play process.Our centre offers a wide range of exciting activities for children of all ages, including outdoor and indoor play areas, climbing adventures, pedal go-karts, slides, swings, football activities, climbing frames, sandpits and trampolines. With plenty of opportunities for active play and exploration, every day brings a new adventure in a fun and safe environment.
