Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the ATRS Tools team to design and build systems that boost developer confidence and provide Operations with real-time tooling. You will partner across platform engineering, LOBs, Controls, and Audit to deliver high-impact capabilities and ship end-to-end solutions at scale.

The role focuses on enterprise-grade tooling, security, and responsible AI as you lead cross-team execution and drive architectural decisions across a broad developer

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and developer tooling.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/React, and SQL.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI use.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve engineering productivity tooling for change management and code health.
• Develop real-time monitoring, alerting, and workflow frameworks for operations.
• Drive platform initiatives for safe, deterministic changes across the estate.
• Design event-driven systems on modern streaming platforms.
• Embed AI capabilities to enhance code quality, speed, and outputs.
• Own features end-to-end, including production incident response and telemetry.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into reusable platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Controls and Audit to ensure secure release workflows.
