Job summary

Trust in SODA is seeking Senior/Lead/Managing Platform Engineers to drive a multi-year DevOps transformation for a major UK Government project. You will shape IaC, CI/CD, and observability capabilities across environments, delivering scalable, reliable systems.

The role offers remote-first working with occasional client-site travel, a competitive package, and opportunities to gain AWS/CKA certifications on company time.

Qualifications

• Expert in IaC with Terraform/Ansible and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Strong observability skills using OTel, Dynatrace or Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support, optimisation and scaling for large Kubernetes projects.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Optimise observability tooling and incident response practices.

The project aims to completely revolutionise the way the UK Government operates online and will create numerous public benefits including cutting waiting times, vastly improved CX and cost savings in the millions of pounds.

They are now looking for Senior, Lead & Managing Platform Engineers to join their team and help with the ongoing support, optimisation and scaling of this project. Their ideal candidate would be an expert within:

• IaC (Terraform, Ansible)
• CI/CD (GitOps, Github Actions, Jenkins)
• Observability (OTel, Dynatrace, Grafana)
