Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Planner to support Bids, Tenders and Pre-Construction activities. You will develop fully logic-linked programmes, identify risks and communicate them to stakeholders, aiding data-led decisions to keep projects on track.

Working with Pre-Construction and Bid teams during tender stage and with Operations Managers through delivery, you will influence methodology, sequencing and programme recovery as needed.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Building Studies, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• CSCS Construction Planner certification is required.
• Experience using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject for planning.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and integrated scheduling.
• Experience in construction planning, programme management and project controls.
• Experience producing and managing fully logic-linked construction programmes.
• Strong ability to review costs, risks and progress reporting.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Develop fully logic-linked design, procurement and construction tender programmes.
• Produce programme narratives, logistics plans and method statements for tender submissions.
• Engage with project teams and partners to test programme assumptions.
• Influence construction methodology and sequencing of works.
• Create logistics, sequencing and phasing plans.
• Identify programme risks and record them in the project risk register.
• Communicate risks, assumptions, dependencies and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Attend tender meetings, reviews and settlement meetings where required.
• Ensure tender programmes are realistic and aligned with delivery strategy.
• Support onsite planning, reporting and programme controls during construction.
• Develop target, baseline and master programmes for projects.
• Ensure programmes are fully logic-linked and reflect baselines.
• Work with operations teams to reflect construction methods in programmes.
• Monitor progress and develop recovery or mitigation plans.
• Provide periodic updates and rescheduling support.
• Train Project Managers to update and progress their programmes when needed.
• Identify changes that affect programme delivery and communicate them.
• Provide clear planning information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain high planning and programme-control standards.
