Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting a Planned Maintenance Supervisor for an established housing provider in Newbury, to oversee planned works from start to finish and manage contractors to deliver projects on time, within budget and to required standards.

You will carry out site inspections, monitor progress, ensure compliance with health and safety, and maintain records while keeping residents informed and minimising disruption.

Qualifications

• Essential social housing experience, with oversight of planned maintenance.
• Experience managing contractors and operatives.
• Ability to monitor budgets, programmes and contractor performance.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel in the Newbury area.

Responsibilities

• Supervising planned maintenance and property improvement works across social housing properties.
• Managing contractors and operatives to ensure works are completed efficiently and to specification.
• Monitoring project progress against programmes, budgets and deadlines.
• Carrying out site inspections and quality checks throughout delivery of works.
• Identifying defects, poor workmanship and non-compliant works and initiating remedial actions.
• Coordinating contractors and internal teams to maintain programme delivery.
• Ensuring all works comply with health and safety legislation and building standards.
