Job summary

Bristol City Council is recruiting a Planned Programme Supervisor to lead and deliver a growing bathroom replacement programme within our Planned Programmes Team. You will oversee delivery, mentor surveyors, manage contracts and budgets, and drive performance to ensure high-quality, safe housing improvements.

The role supports hybrid working, requires DBS check, and offers development opportunities within a fast-paced, public-sector environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and delivery of planned bathroom installation programmes.
• Support planning, coordination and monitoring of programme performance against targets, budgets and timescales.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and development to a team of surveyors.
• Lead on contract management activities, ensuring contractors meet contractual requirements and quality standards.
• Monitor programme expenditure and contribute to budget management.
• Manage recruitment activities and support workforce planning as required.
• Drive performance management through monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement.
• Coach, motivate and develop team members to achieve objectives.
• Plan and monitor daily workflows to optimise resource use.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors to deliver high-quality service.
• Promote a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.
