About the role
Support the PSM in the development and delivery of a comprehensive, high-quality range of responsive pharmaceutical services, within available resources, that contribute to the strategic direction of the Trust. This will include deputising for the PSM as needed.
Manage the Specialist Pharmacy Technicians and their teams within the medicine supply service providing effective leadership and motivation to ensure the service needs are met effectively.
Participate in all stages of the HR processes including recruitment, appraisal, grievance, and disciplinary processes for all allocated staff across the Trust and implement the outcomes, in conjunction with the PSM and HR Managers when necessary.
Ensure, on a day-to-day basis, that adequate levels of technical and support staff, with training appropriate to their roles, are available on each site within the Trust, to ensure an effective and consistent dispensary and clinical trials service.
Support Specialist Pharmacy Technicians in managing all annual and special leave, and acting as sickness absence manager for all relevant staff.
