Job summary
Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Lead Pharmacy Technician to manage the Moorfields Private Pharmacy service across City Road/Bath Street. You will oversee dispensary operations, support medicines management initiatives, and lead a small team including Pharmacists and ATOs in a busy ophthalmic setting.
The role includes training responsibilities, implementing KPIs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- NVQ level 3/BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science (Essential).
- Registered as a pharmacy technician with GPhC.
- ACPT qualification or working towards ACPT.
- Educated to GCSE Maths and English.
Responsibilities
- Oversee development of technical Pharmacy service across Moorfields Private.
- Supervise workload, rosters and medicines management initiatives.
- Train rotational Pharmacists and support education of Pharmacy staff.
- Support service developments for private patients and RDCEC.
- Act as Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) as required.
