Job summary

NHS Lothian is seeking a Band 6 AfC Lead Pharmacy Technician to join the Primary Care team in Edinburgh. You will lead a team of pharmacy staff across GP practices, oversee day-to-day operations, and contribute to strategic development of the technician workforce within Primary Care.

You will be an experienced, GPhC registered technician with leadership skills, capable of driving service improvement and delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• GPhC registered pharmacy technician with active registration.
• S(N)VQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and HNC Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
• Experience in GP practice or community/hospital settings with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the pharmacy team in primary care.
• Develop and execute a strategic plan for the technician workforce.
• Identify training needs and promote a positive working environment.
• Collaborate with GP Practice Teams to improve patient care.
