Job summary

NHS Lothian invites applications for a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist - Primary Care, based in West Lothian. You may come from community, hospital, or GP practice settings and will contribute to a wide range of clinical pharmaceutical care across General Practices.

You will develop leadership skills, work with a multidisciplinary team, and help advance education and prescribing practice within the HSCP. The role supports career pathways and professional development.

Qualifications

• GPhC-registered pharmacist with postgraduate clinical experience in a patient-focused setting.
• Experience in supporting development and education of others.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand clinical skills across GP practices within West Lothian.
• Provide holistic, patient-centred pharmaceutical care to improve safety and effectiveness of medicines.
• Support the clinical workings of the pharmacist hub ensuring safe interventions.
• Contribute to joint projects aligned with local and national priorities.
