Job summary

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a Specialist Pharmacist Lead for Oncology Services. You will provide professional leadership, lead a comprehensive clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service across inpatient wards, day units and outpatient settings, and supervise pharmacists, technicians and students.

The role includes line management, staff development, and ensuring compliance with Trust formulary, high-cost drug procedures and local SOPs.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacist with GPhC or equivalent
• Experience in oncology/haematology settings preferred
• Proven leadership and teaching skills to supervise staff

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the specialist clinical pharmacy service for oncology/haematology
• Provide expert medicines management and governance across inpatient, day unit and outpatient settings
• Supervise and train pharmacists, technicians and students
• Ensure medicines expenditure is managed within budget and relevant policies are followed
