Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Pharmacist to join the Medicines Information team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. You will lead on the Tayside Area Formulary, underpinning safe and effective uses of medicines for adults across NHS Tayside.

You will work within an experienced team, advancing medicines information, formulary education, and governance across primary and secondary care, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be on the General Pharmaceutical Council practicing register.
• Experience in Medicines Information, Formulary or Education & Training desirable but not essential.
• Working towards advanced practice or equivalent level.

Responsibilities

• Lead on development of the Tayside Area Adult Formulary and contribute to pharmaceutical practice in Medicines Information.
• Maintain, update and review the Tayside Area Formulary to underpin safe, effective medicine use.
• Contribute to Medicines Information enquiry answering service in line with UKMi standards.
• Participate in redesign of education and training in medicines information across Pharmacy services in Tayside.
• Provide advice, education and training regarding medicines information and formulary to GP practices and hospital teams.
