Sandwell Children's Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Permanence Hub on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2028. You will provide expert practice leadership, mentor social workers and family support workers to deliver outstanding permanence outcomes for children and families.

As the specialist resource for permanence planning, you will support reunification planning, Special Guardianship and court processes, while maintaining a small caseload to model best

Qualificações

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience with children and families within statutory services.
• Significant knowledge of permanence planning, reunification, special guardianship and court processes.
• Strong analytical, assessment and report-writing skills.
• Experience mentoring or developing other practitioners.
• Practice Educator qualification desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide professional mentoring, coaching and practice leadership to social workers and family support workers.
• Lead on complex permanence work, including reunification planning and court proceedings.
• Undertake quality assurance activities including audits and learning.
• Deliver development sessions, workshops and reflective learning.
• Support practitioners to produce high-quality assessments and court evidence.
• Disseminate specialist knowledge across services and lead permanence practice areas.
• Monitor timely permanence planning and contribute to service improvements.
• Maintain a small caseload to model best practice and support colleagues.
