Working closely with managers and leaders across the business, you'll act as a trusted adviser, providing practical guidance, coaching and support to build high-performing teams and strengthen people management capability.

You'll play a key role in developing our Learning & Development agenda, improving organisational effectiveness and creating a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with NCP's values and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development
  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of learning and development initiatives across the organisation.

  • Identify capability gaps and develop learning solutions that address current and future business needs.

  • Manage mandatory training programmes and learning management systems, ensuring colleagues have access to relevant development opportunities.

  • Support succession planning, talent development and leadership development initiatives.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

People Experience
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the colleague experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

  • Review and continuously improve onboarding, induction and probation processes.

  • Develop initiatives that support colleague engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and retention.

  • Champion a positive workplace culture that reflects NCP's values.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the experience of colleagues and managers across the business.

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of NCP's performance management framework.

  • Coach managers on goal setting, performance conversations, feedback and development planning.

  • Support talent reviews and succession planning activities.

  • Encourage a culture of continuous feedback, accountability and development.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of performance and development processes, using insights to recommend improvements.

People Partnering
  • Build strong working relationships with managers and leaders across all business areas.

  • Provide practical guidance and support on people-related matters affecting engagement, capability and performance.

  • Coach and support managers to strengthen their people leadership skills and build high-performing teams.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider People Team to deliver consistent and effective people initiatives.

Engagement & Organisational Development
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and colleague survey activity.

  • Analyse engagement feedback, identify key themes and develop action plans to improve outcomes.

  • Support initiatives that strengthen organisational culture, colleague connection and inclusion.

  • Develop management and leadership capability at all levels.

  • Encourage innovation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the organisation.

  • Support organisational change initiatives that enhance effectiveness and colleague experience.

Continuous Improvement
  • Use data, feedback and insights to identify opportunities to improve People Team processes and services.

  • Contribute to People Team projects and wider strategic initiatives.

  • Support the development and implementation of People Experience and Learning policies, frameworks and programmes.

  • Identify and share best practice to improve consistency and effectiveness across the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • A confident relationship builder who can establish credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Solutions-focused, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, hands-on delivery.

  • A coach and enabler, who enjoys supporting managers to develop their people leadership capabilities.

  • An innovative thinker who actively looks for opportunities to improve processes, engagement and colleague experience.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver multiple initiatives effectively.

  • Resilient and adaptable, with sound judgement and a strong sense of accountability.
