A leading pensions firm in Leeds is seeking a Lead Pensions Administrator for a hybrid role, with 2 days in the office. You will bring strong DB and DC pensions experience and the ability to mentor colleagues while delivering high-quality service to members and employers.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll own tasks, check work, and balance workloads to meet service levels. You’ll also help manage data integrity and respond to complex queries in a dynamic environment.

You will have excellent DB and DC pensions administration experience with good technical knowledge, along with the confidence to support and develop those around you.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play a key part in delivering a high-quality pensions administration service to members, employers and third parties in line with agreed Service Level Agreements. You will take ownership of delegated tasks within the team, including checking casework and weekly reports, and you will prioritise and manage your own and others' workloads so that work is completed within agreed service levels.
Checking the work of other team members for accuracy and explaining any changes required, helping to build colleagues' working knowledge
Dealing with and checking complex cases
Managing and processing scheme events
Maintaining administration and benefits data to answer queries from employers, members and third parties, ensuring the quality and reliability of all data
Participating in and carrying out data quality audits
Working with the administration managers to help plan the work of the team in the absence of the Team Leader
Providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients at all times
Carrying out all duties in line with information security and data protection policies
Solid experience within pensions administration, with strong DB and DC knowledge
Proven pensions technical knowledge relevant to the role
GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills, including complex spreadsheet work
A good understanding of data integrity and a questioning attitude, with the confidence to challenge established processes where improvements can be made
Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
The ability to prioritise your own and others' workloads, work to deadlines and maintain a high level of output and accuracy
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to new and challenging situations
QPA or PMI qualifications, either completed or in progress
Experience of training, coaching or managing the performance of others
Evidence of introducing effective change in the workplace and encouraging others to respond positively to change
