Job summary

Specialist Passenger Solutions Limited, part of First Bus, seeks a PCV Vehicle Technician Supervisor to lead our engineering team at Bridgwater. You will provide hands-on leadership in the workshop, ensuring vehicles meet high safety and reliability standards and supporting a 4 on 4 off, 42-hour weekly pattern.

Key requirements include NVQ3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance with supervisory experience, IT competence, and PCV-related licences; BPSS checks apply for access to nuclear sites and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Supervisory experience in a workshop environment.
• Competent with IT systems and driving licence.
• IRTEC licence desirable and BPSS/background checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on input as a working supervisor.
• Deliver daily pre-shift briefings and safety talks.
• Prioritise and allocate both planned and unplanned work.
• Monitor the shift operation and supervise technicians.
• Perform vehicle inspection standard audits.
• Ensure housekeeping and high safety standards.
• Demonstrate and promote safe working practices at all times.
