Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to lead the paediatric dysphagia service for babies, children, and young people. The role includes supervision, training, and contributing to service development within a large, integrated Children's Therapy team.

You will work with senior colleagues to shape the service, participate in staff development, and liaise with other therapy leads across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Significant paediatric dysphagia experience.
• Autonomous clinical responsibility in paediatric caseloads.
• Experience supervising junior SLTs and students.
• Advanced knowledge of dysphagia assessment tools.
• Advanced knowledge of therapeutic dysphagia interventions.
• Familiar with national policies affecting paediatric therapy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dysphagia service for babies to young people.
• Provide supervision and CPD opportunities to staff.
• Contribute to service development and training.
• Collaborate with other therapy leads (SLT, Physio, OT).
