The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust invites applications for a whole-time Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia based at Leicester Royal Infirmary. The post reports to the Department of Anaesthesia and supports the Paediatric surgical services, including neonatal cases, within a tertiary referral centre with a busy on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Training and experience in Paediatric Anaesthesia and neonatal surgery.
• Participation in on-call rota.
• Commitment to teaching, research, audit and clinical governance.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the highest clinical standards in patient management.
• Share responsibility for day-to-day management of patients.
• Promote integrated care and partnership across the health community.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions and perioperative decision-making.
• Supervise, appraise and train junior medical staff.
• Contribute to teaching, research, audit, administration and governance.
• Proactively support service development and improvement.
