Cpl UK Healthcare, Leeds, is recruiting a Lead Occupational Therapist to lead OT services in a specialist inpatient unit for women with complex mental health needs, including personality disorders.

The post combines clinical leadership, senior caseload management, and collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses and psychologists to deliver recovery-focused, person-centred care and ongoing service development.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Significant post-registration experience in mental health services.
• Experience with complex mental health needs and personality disorders.
• Leadership or supervisory experience desirable.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills.
• Passion for delivering recovery-focused, person-centred care.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the Occupational Therapy service within the hospital.
• Manage a specialist caseload of women with complex mental health needs.
• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop person-centred treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based individual and group occupational therapy interventions.
• Promote recovery, independence, and meaningful engagement in daily activities.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision to junior therapy staff.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, CPA reviews, and clinical reports.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support ongoing service development.
