Job summary

Jarrodean Healthcare Recruitment invites applications for Orthopaedic Practitioners to join the Orthopaedic Outpatient team at the Island of Guernsey. Suitable candidates include experienced Orthopaedic Practitioners or Registered Nurses who hold the British Casting Certificate.

Reporting to the Outpatient Manager, you will manage the plaster room staff, oversee casting services, and perform cast and brace applications including complex theatre cases.

Qualifications

• Experienced Orthopaedic Practitioners or Registered Nurses
• British Casting Certificate is essential
• Current or recent experience in Casting role is essential

Responsibilities

• Take management responsibility for staff within the plaster room on a daily basis, prioritising the workload and delegating appropriately
• Delivery of the casting/splinting service provision across a wide and varied patient group
• Be responsible for the skilled application and removal of casts and braces, including complex applications in Theatre
• Working under the Outpatient Manager to ensure efficient service delivery
