Job summary

VolkerWessels UK seeks a Lead Operative for its Traffic Management division, based at the Chichester depot in West Sussex. You will install, maintain and remove traffic management in line with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings, guiding a team by example toward uncompromised safety and quality.

The role requires extensive traffic management and highways maintenance experience, plus a valid UK driving license; 12D M1-M6 / LTMO qualifications are preferred, and First Aid at Work is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic management operations.
• Experience in highways maintenance.
• Holder of 12D M1-M6 and/or 12A/B LTMO/Foreman.
• Holder of full valid UK driving license.
• First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and remove traffic management in accordance with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings.
• Work to instruction from supervisors while demonstrating safety and quality.
• Ensure all traffic management activities are carried out to required standards.

About The Role

We currently have a superb opportunity for a Lead Operative to join our Traffic Management business, working out of our Chichester depot in West Sussex.

The successful candidate will work to instruction from supervisors, ensuring all traffic management is installed, maintained and removed in accordance with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings, whilst demonstrating by example a Safety and Quality approach that is without compromise.

About You

• Previous experience in traffic management operations
• Previous experience in highways maintenance
• Holder of 12D M1-M6 and/or 12A/B LTMO/Foreman
• Holder of full valid UK driving license
• Holder of valid First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
