Job summary

APEM Ltd is seeking a principal EIA Consultant to lead Environmental Impact Assessments for onshore renewables, transport and infrastructure across Scotland and the UK & Ireland.

You will guide projects from feasibility through planning, consent and post-consent compliance, mentoring multidisciplinary teams and building trusted client relationships. The role offers flexible working and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Significant programme/project management experience of environmental projects with deadlines, budgets and relationships.
• Established track record in delivery of EIA-related work (screening, scoping, end reporting, post-consent).
• Understanding of Scottish policy and regulatory framework for impact assessment in UK & Ireland.
• Demonstrable stakeholder engagement experience (stakeholder meetings, input into supporting material).

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments and wider consenting work for onshore renewables, transport and infrastructure projects.
• Guide projects from feasibility through planning, consent and post-consent compliance.
• Mentor consultants and collaborate with directors to influence service development and client relationships.
• Build trusted client relationships and provide strategic planning, consenting and post-consent advice.
