Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions is seeking a General Builder to join our on-site team in Northern Ireland, delivering restoration projects for the insurance and environmental sectors. You will lead on-site teams, apply multi-skilled construction skills, and ensure work is carried out to high standards.

The role requires travel to various project sites, operating machinery, and using a range of tools, with emphasis on safety PPE and HAVS controls.

Qualifications

• Construction professional with multi-skilled experience and leadership.
• Strong organisational and planning skills for site activities.
• Clean driving license and willingness to travel.
• Based in Northern Ireland with ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site teams to deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard.
• Apply multi-skilled construction expertise from bricklaying to underpinning and drainage.
• Operate machinery such as mini diggers and dumpers.
• Mix concrete, demolish and restore residential properties to their original condition.
• Handle tools from demolition hammers to jigsaws with PPE and HAVS controls.
• Travel to project sites and work with Project Managers.
