Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions is seeking a General Builder to join our on-site team in Northern Ireland, delivering restoration projects for the insurance and environmental sectors. You will lead on-site teams, apply multi-skilled construction skills, and ensure work is carried out to high standards.

The role requires travel to various project sites, operating machinery, and using a range of tools, with emphasis on safety PPE and HAVS controls.

Qualifications

• Construction professional with multi-skilled experience and leadership.
• Strong organisational and planning skills for site activities.
• Clean driving license and willingness to travel.
• Based in Northern Ireland with ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery such as mini diggers and dumpers.
• Mix concrete, demolish and restore residential properties to their original condition.

• Travel to project sites and work with Project Managers.

AtMEL Environmental Solutions, we’re specialists in restoring properties after pollution incidents. We're looking for aGeneral Builderto join our dynamic team and make a difference in the insurance and environmental restoration industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and coordinate teams on-site to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
• Bring your multi-skilled construction expertise to life – from bricklaying to underpinning, concreting, drainage, and more.
• Operate machinery like mini diggers and dumpers
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig, and restore residential properties to their original condition
• Get hands-on with tools, from demolition hammers to jigsaws (we’ve got the latest gear, and we prioritise your safety with PPE and HAVS controls).
• Travel to project sites
• Work closely with our Project Managers

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• A construction professional with multi-skilled experience, capable of taking charge and inspiring others.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to manage day-to-day site activities effectively.
• A clean driving license and a readiness to hit the road.
• Willingness to travel and work away as required, tackling challenges head-on.
• Must be based within Northern Ireland and available to travel
