Job summary

Barking & Dagenham Council is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to lead the OT service, triage referrals and oversee assessments, equipment provision and home adaptations to support independence at home and in the community.

You will hold HCPC registration, an enhanced DBS (Children and Adults) and demonstrate leadership, collaboration and innovative practice to raise service standards across partners in the public and voluntary sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead triage, screening and initial referral decision-making in OT service.
• Oversee coordination of assessments, equipment provision and home adaptations.
• Collaborate with partners across statutory, voluntary and private sectors to meet service user needs.
