Job summary

Barking & Dagenham Council is seeking two experienced Occupational Therapists to join the Enabling Independence Team within the Integrated Care Service. You will develop OT plans addressing equipment, home adaptations, assistive tech and housing solutions to promote independence for adults and children with disabilities across Barking and Dagenham.

You will collaborate with professionals across sectors, supervise OTAs, and participate in values-based recruitment aligned with DRIVE values.

Qualifications

• Qualified OT with HCPC registration.
• Experience with moving and handling and home adaptations.
• Ability to supervise OTAs and coordinate with other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop OT plans for equipment, home adaptations, and assistive technology.
• Collaborate with statutory, voluntary and private sectors to meet needs of service users, families and carers.
• Engage in relationship-based practice and drive up practice standards to improve outcomes.
