Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess and treat patients with complex needs in a multidisciplinary setting. The role involves advanced clinical reasoning, developing treatment plans and supervising junior staff, with opportunities for professional development.

Based in Liverpool University Hospitals, the post supports the Occupational Therapy Department’s objectives and requires DBS clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients with diverse or complex presentations using advanced clinical reasoning and manual assessment to clinically diagnose
• Implement evidence-based treatment plans addressing physical, cognitive, perceptual, psychological and social functioning
• Deliver and evaluate treatment programmes using a comprehensive range of options
• Advise, assist and educate Band 5 and Band 6 OTs and Student OTs
• Supervise students and assistants within own team
• Provide Therapy Lead with information for planning and development of the unit
• Ensure staff cover within own clinical team during annual leave or sickness
• Assist managers in achieving departmental objectives and promoting open management
• Participate in the professional development programme of the Occupational Therapy Department
• Coordinate the effective day-to-day running of own team and disseminate information
• Participate in recruitment and selection of therapy staff under guidance of Therapy Lead
• This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
