One of our most powerful recent success stories involved a patient whose recovery was transformed by a walking football initiative. This patient, a passionate football fan before his injury, was struggling to re-engage with life. Demonstrating the kind of creativity we truly value, an Occupational Therapist on the team explored alternative therapeutic options. They connected with the York City FC Foundation, which offers walking football sessions nearby. The result? The patient experienced renewed motivation, improved balance and coordination, and most importantly a vital reconnection to his community.
This is the kind of life-changing impact you can help make happen every day.As Lead Occupational Therapist, your vision and clinical expertise will shape how we deliver rehabilitation, embedding truly individualised care that embraces each persons values, abilities, and aspirations.
