Job summary

Clarence House Ely Nursery is seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our friendly team. You will work 40 hours a week with a salary of £13.75 an hour.

As Room Leader you will deliver high standards of education and care, supervise and mentor staff, and liaise with parents under the guidance of the Nursery Manager. A Level 3 qualification and 2 years nursery experience are required, with EYFS knowledge.

Qualifications

• A level 3 or equivalent Early Years Childcare / Nursery Nurse qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a nursery after qualification
• An understanding of the latest EYFS framework
• An awareness of planning, observing and record-keeping procedures
• An understanding of nursery safeguarding policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide highest standard of education and care for children in your charge.
• Ensure the room runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Supervise, mentor and support the staff team.
• Liaise with parents, carers and other childcare professionals under the guidance of the Nursery Manager.
• Safeguard children.
