Job summary

Unity Practice, operating across four sites including Haverhill, seeks a Lead Practice Nurse to direct and develop the primary care nursing team and ensure high-quality patient care across our services.

You will lead, train, and support the nursing team, ensuring compliance with CQC standards while driving quality improvement initiatives and delivering excellent clinical care in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Proven experience working in primary care.
• Experience managing a nursing team and leading service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and deliver a range of practice nursing services and be accountable for the nursing team on a day-to-day basis.
• Foster a learning environment, supporting the training and development of the nursing team.
• Lead on ensuring nursing services meet CQC and regulatory requirements.
• Champion quality improvement initiatives within the nursing service.

What’s the role?

The Unity Practice is run by Suffolk GP Federation CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company.

Contract

Full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday based across the Unity sites: Haverhill, Long Melford, Lavenham and Glemsford. Travel between sites will be necessary.

• You’ll need to be a registered nurse, with valid NMC registration and evidence of up-to-date practice
• You’ll need proven experience of working in primary care
