Job summary

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Band 7 Learning Disabilities Nurse to lead the CAMHS Learning Disability team serving Bristol and South Gloucestershire. You will provide specialist assessment, formulate care plans, and lead a multidisciplinary approach with Psychology, Psychiatry, Nursing and Support Workers.

Qualifications

• UK Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse
• Post-graduate diploma level qualification in a relevant field (e.g. PBS, Non-Medical Prescribing, Clinical Leadership, CBT)
• Significant experience in a community learning disabilities team at Band 6 or above
• Experience of working with children, young people and families
• Experience of providing specialist assessment, treatment and coordinating care

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse for CAMHS Learning Disability team, across Bristol and South Gloucestershire
• Manage an active caseload and provide holistic care packages to children and young people with LD
• Offer consultation, supervision and training to primary care professionals and other agencies
• Develop and implement changes to meet AWP core values and government initiatives
• Promote joint working within the CAMHS/Learning Disability team and participate in staff development
