Job summary

Evolve Staffing Ltd. is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist in Learning Disabilities for an NHS mental health trust based in Bristol. The role requires clinical leadership of the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) and expertise in adults with LD, ASD, SMI, or challenging behaviours.

You will deliver assessments, pharmacological management, and lead safeguarding and risk management initiatives across community and inpatient settings, ensuring patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and entry on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry of Learning Disability.
• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
• Approved Clinician (AC) status and Section 12(2) approval (or eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and pharmacological management for adults with learning disabilities and co-morbid conditions.
• Provide strategic clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary CLDT.
• Act as Approved Clinician and Section 12 (2) approved doctor under the Mental Health Act.
• Lead complex case reviews, safeguarding, and risk management in community and inpatient settings.
