Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in Glasgow invites applications for an experienced Registered Nurse to become Senior Charge Nurse (SCN) in Ward 47, Plastic Surgery at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. You will lead a team of Registered Nurses and HCSWs to deliver safe, high-quality care.

This permanent, full-time role offers a Monday–Friday pattern (0630–1430) with flexible start times to support service, and a focus on clinical leadership, learning and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse qualification with significant post-registration nursing experience.
Experience within Plastic Surgery is desirable.
A post-registration qualification in Plastic Surgery would be advantageous.
Strong clinical leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think critically and make sound clinical decisions.
Understanding of care assurance standards and quality improvement principles.

Responsibilities
