Job summary

Brook Street in Maesteg is seeking a nurse-qualified Registered Manager to lead a nursing and dementia care home. You will own the service, drive clinical and operational excellence, and deliver high-quality, person-centred care with strong team leadership. The role requires an RGN/RMN with an NMC PIN and prior home-management experience.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN.
Experience as Registered Manager/ Home Manager or equivalent in a nursing home.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or working towards).

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations and overall performance of the home.
Ensure residents receive safe, person-centred nursing and dementia care.
Provide strong clinical and operational leadership; ensure regulatory compliance.
Oversee audits, medication management, care planning and governance.
Lead, motivate, coach and develop the staff team.
Manage recruitment, performance, absence management and HR processes.
Monitor staffing levels, rota planning and workforce development.
Drive occupancy, quality outcomes and service performance.
Manage budgets and ensure financial performance.
Build strong relationships with residents, families and professionals.
