Help us shape the future of real‑time news data and join a team powering the heartbeat of global information. LSEG’s News Engineering group is looking for a Lead News Data Architect to define and evolve the data architecture that powers our real‑time News platform, delivering richly structured and searchable news to customers worldwide in sub‑second time.
This role is ideal for hands‑on architects who want to be individual contributors and technical leaders. You’ll work at the intersection of data modeling, metadata standards, and search technologies, with the opportunity to influence platform‑wide decisions and long‑term strategy.
As a news architect in the News team at LSEG, you will lead end‑to‑end data architecture decisions for real‑time news ingestion, enrichment, storage, indexing, and distribution. You will develop data standards, schemas, and contracts for news content, metadata, and derived signals to ensure consistency and quality across the platform. Partner closely with engineering teams improving signal discoverability through normalizing metadata and implementing industry standards. Ensure data architectures support observability and lineage while providing customers with a simple, straight‑forward experience for working with News from LSEG. We encourage pragmatic experimentation with new tools, libraries, and approaches when they improve reliability, performance, or developer experience.
