Job summary

London Stock Exchange is seeking a Lead News Data Architect to define and evolve the data architecture powering our real-time News platform, delivering richly structured and searchable news to customers worldwide in sub-second time.

You will lead end-to-end data architecture decisions for real-time news ingestion, enrichment, storage, indexing, and distribution, while developing data standards and contracts to ensure quality and consistency across the platform.

Qualifications

• Strong background in data architecture for real-time news platforms.
• Experience designing schemas, contracts and canonical data models.
• Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve data architecture for real-time news ingestion, enrichment, storage, indexing and distribution.
• Develop data standards, schemas, and contracts for news content, metadata and derived signals.
• Partner with engineering to improve signal discoverability through normalizing metadata and industry standards.
• Ensure observability and lineage while delivering a simple experience for working with News from LSEG.
• Lead through influence and communicate technical direction to senior product and engineering leaders.
