Job summary

Guildhall School of Music & Drama is seeking an experienced Network & Systems Manager to oversee the School’s recording, broadcast and AV networks across multiple venues. You will manage a low-latency audio network, Dante Domain Manager, NDI distribution and networked recording systems to support performances, teaching and research.

You will work hands-on, diagnose issues, document solutions and drive improvements while collaborating with engineers, academics and central IT.

Qualifications

• Experience with professional audio, video or broadcast systems.
• Strong understanding of IP networking in media environments.
• Knowledge of Dante, NDI and related production networks is highly desirable.
• Networking qualifications such as CCNA are useful but not essential with equivalent experience.
• Comfortable working with students and academic staff.

Responsibilities

• Take day‑to‑day operational responsibility for the School’s recording, broadcast and AV systems and networks.
• Diagnose problems, document findings, improve systems and increase reliability and resiliency.
• Collaborate closely with Recording & AV engineers, venue teams, academic departments and central IT.
• Assist in developing production workflows and new infrastructure across performance spaces and teaching venues.
• Support concerts, teaching, broadcasts and student-led work, including occasional evenings and weekends.
