Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to own the network architecture for a major broadcast and media production estate in Central London. You will lead a small team, deliver resilient connectivity for live events, and bridge enterprise networking with IP broadcast infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include designing mission-critical IP networks, leading multicast routing and PIM/SSM, and ensuring zero-downtime delivery for high-profile productions.

Qualifications

• Broadcast/networking background essential.
• Multicast expertise in broadcast/streaming environments.
• Strong BGP/OSPF routing experience in production networks.
• EVPN/VXLAN overlay architecture experience.
• Proven track record delivering networks for live events.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small technical team.
• Familiarity with SMPTE ST 2110, PTP (IEEE 1588), NMOS is a bonus.
• CCNP certification preferred and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership for corporate and broadcast network infrastructure across sites.
• Design, implement, and operate mission-critical IP networks for live broadcast and streaming.
• Lead multicast routing design and optimization (PIM, SSM, IGMP).
• Plan networks for large-scale live events with zero downtime requirements.
• Own network performance, capacity, resilience and security.
