Hippo is seeking a Lead .Net Developer to join our Leeds-based team. You will lead delivery within multidisciplinary squads, shaping architecture and guiding engineers in a fast-growing consultancy.
The role combines hands-on coding with strategic leadership, aligning software with client goals and data-enabled outcomes. You will drive DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native design while mentoring engineers and collaborating across strategy, design and delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience leading a delivery team to high-quality solutions.
- Strong communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Visible track record in end-to-end software delivery with SMEs.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical SME within the squad to deliver user-centred software.
- Collaborate to design and deliver client solutions.
- Design and manage pipelines and deployment processes.
- Prioritise workload and align with changing priorities.
- Present progress to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Build relationships with team and stakeholders to overcome challenges.
- Involve in recruitment, onboarding and line management.
- Promote Hippo’s Engineering Herd externally (blogs, workshops, talks).
